CHOCOLATE-COVERED BACON
Don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it! Chocolate-covered bacon makes for an easy, different, and tasty presentation.
- 18 slices applewood-smoked bacon
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
Arrange the bacon strips in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet. Place in the oven, and then set the temperature to 400°F. When the oven is preheated, your bacon is ready! Remove the bacon from the oven and drain on paper towels.
Transfer the bacon to waxed paper, leaving space between the strips.
In separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the white chocolate and the milk chocolate chips. (Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring each time, to keep from scorching.) Spoon the melted chocolate into separate pastry bags. (You can also use a resealable plastic bag and snip the corner.) Drizzle the chocolate over the bacon in a zig-zag pattern, first dark chocolate, then white, allowing the chocolate to harden between layers. Refrigerate if necessary.
