NANCY’S BLACKBERRY COBBLER

Blackberry and peach cobblers are staples in the South. This quick and easy cobbler is just as tasty with blueberries or raspberries if you so choose.

Ingredients
  • 5 cups fresh blackberries, washed and drained
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 medium egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Arrange the blackberries evenly in a 2-quart baking dish. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and mix well. Stir in the egg and crumble the mixture over the berries. Drizzle with the melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon. Bake until topping is golden brown and filling bubbles, about 45 minutes. Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream.
