Cooking Instructions
1. Thaw the shrimp. Place the frozen shrimp in a colander set inside a larger bowl. Run cold water over the shrimp for approximately 8-10 minutes, tossing occasionally until fully thawed. Lift out the colander and allow the shrimp to drain well.
2. Heat the sauce. Pour the entire 1.5 lb pouch of BBQ Shrimp Sauce into a large sauté pan or skillet. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
3. Cook the shrimp. Add the drained shrimp to the simmering sauce. Cook for 4-6 minutes, stirring or turning the shrimp frequently so they’re evenly coated and heated through.
4. Know when they’re done. Shrimp cook quickly. They’re ready when they’re firm, opaque, and curled into a “C.”
5. Remove from the heat immediately and serve with plenty of crusty French bread for soaking up every last drop of that rich, buttery BBQ shrimp sauce.
PITMASTER’S TIP Keep a close eye on your shrimp while they cook. As soon as they turn pink and form a nice “C” shape, they’re ready to serve. Overcooking will cause them to curl into an “O.”
SERVING SUGGESTION Serve piping hot with warm French bread, rice, or creamy grits to soak up all that incredible sauce.
